The use of ULTRAFOAM® Rooting Media substratum for rooting guarantees the production of healthy seedlings in a short period of time and with improved efficiency.

The selection of source plants: selected plants should bear the best sanitary characteristics as well as hold the highest yields to ensure optimal dissemination (Photo 1).

The selection of cuttings: cuttings should be made from plants that present a large and suitable number of buds (Photo 2),

transporting them either in containers with water or wrapping them up in soaked paper to prevent them from dehydrating (Photo 3) |

Large cuttings can be split up into smaller ones in order to reach higher yields in the sowing process (Photo 4).

| The soaking of the substratum: ULTRAFOAM® Rooting Media’s sheets should be placed in their definite locations and should also be thoroughly soaked, making sure that no dry spaces have been left (Photos 5 and 6). |
| Sowing: The cuttings should be placed on the substratum, at neither a very deep nor very shallow depth. ULTRAFOAM® Rooting Media ensures close contact with the cuttings, hence leading to reaching the desired fixing of roots (Photos 7 and 8). |

Fixing of roots: after 10 to 20 days have gone by, depending on the species, one can notice abundant growth of roots in the cuttings, an indication that the material is ready to be taken out to its final destination for planting (Photo 9) |
