Today, modern agricultural method uses substrata instead of soil. So FENOCOL, following this trend, produces two important espumas agricolas that isUltrafoam® Rooting Media and Hydrobed®. These espumas agricolas are used for cultivation of many species, be it vegetables or forest species. Apart from cultivation, espumas agricolas helps in reforestation. ULTRAFOAM® Rooting Media is a 100% inert and sterile substratum, made from organic materials such as sand and dolomite lime, which expand with heat, and the substratum has the appearance of foam. ULTRAFOAM® Rooting Media has an alveolar material and flowers inserted into this foam have their life spans extended, due to this product's internal structure. It is made up of cells shaped by tiny capillaries that carry water in a manner similar to the way plant cells normally do. This espumas agricolas keeps the flowers or cuttings hydrated for a longer time and helps in formation of roots. Since espumas agricolas does not need disinfection and it comes ready to be used.

Another espumas agricolas is Hydrobed®. This substratum is used in hydroponics. With hydroponics, the plants are grown in an inert growing medium, therefore the plants do not get anything from the growing medium. They receive only what you give them, nothing more, you have complete control over pH, nutrients and the nutrient strength. So soil is not a necessary and it does not give you the scope to determine your plant's requirements. Hydrobed® is used for the growth of semi-perennial crops. This preserves cut flowers, retains moisture levels and stabilizes crop growth. It has many advantages like:
